Adscapes
These days, newspapers and advertisers are thinking out of the box, literally. Adscapes showcase the industry's ability to go beyond price and item advertising targeting the message and creative to different audiences and sections. The possibilities for shapes, sizes, and creative approaches for newspaper advertising are limitless.
In order to facilitate the use of these creative units, newspapers have universally adopted seven standard adscape units that will make it easy for advertisers to scale their ad buys in a quick and painless way across the country.
The seven ads featured in the program are not the traditional square ads long associated with newspapers, but rather varieties of innovative shapes and sizes. These distinct ad units have been encouraged by advertising clients. The six units promoted by the program promise to enhance the visibility of the product advertised, as well as the look of the newspaper by creating a more engaging environment for the reader/consumer.
